Before I got ahold of it To When I got ahold of it

This was someone else's sweatshirt before it became mines. I have NO idea how I got a hold of this vintage top. Sweatshirts had a habit of randomly appearing at my house growing up. But just like many families, wearing hand-me-downs was pretty common in my family, which is where my love of buying nice things from the thrift store comes from.
Just because someone had it before you, doesn't make it no good. The way it looks now, though, is nothing like how it looked originally.
Just as sweatshirts had a habit of just appearing, I have a habit of remixing clothing I own. This Mickey Mouse sweatshirt was once a normal sweatshirt that I rarely wore because of how oddly it fit me. I first cut the sleeves to make a quarter length top of it because the sleeves were already short on my long arms. Then I created a lace-up collar look by cutting holes and weaving African fabric through it. Then I went further, chopped of the bottom, took out the African Fabric and replaced it with a crochet chain and yarn tassels. Then I split the side of the waist and the sleeves, and put some lace-up detail there too.

Yea, one of the holes ripped...So? :D
Of course , any crop top looks good with a pair of high-waisted pants.
