sO mUCH to Unpack hERE

Besides the super dope henna inspired red finger accents I use with this look, we also have some earrings I made, and a $80 belt-waisted jacket that I found thrifting for about 7 bucks. So many great things that I want to cover in this post.

The top segment of my fingers are coated with red Mineral Fusian nail polish. I complemented this little splash of color with a new fave of my mines: gold jewelry.
There was a time I wouldn't even touch gold jewelry, only gunmetal and copper. Then I slowly ventured into silver, and suddenly I'm cool with gold. Now gold is my go-to metal jewelry choice.

The guy's open shirt look

Men like Bruno Mars, or my absolute favorite, Bad Bunny, wear their shirts open at the top with some glitzy jewelry in a way that I can really appreciate as a women. Not just because they are attractive in it, but also as something that can inspire my own style choices. No, they didn't invent this look, but the way that Bad Bunny in particular sports it is so flamboyant and fun, which in turn makes it his own thing.
Due to my love of androgyny, I've always wanted to incorporate the guy's open shirt into one of my shoots, so this time I did. No bra, with my shirt spread, I grabbed my gold chains, a brown belt, and some printed slacks. Because of the dragging cold weather, I pulled out my London Fog jacket, which I found for $7 while thrifting and threw it over my outfit.

Dip-Dyed Bleach Earrings

Post-graduation, I made a choice to be more creative. I wanted to start drawing again, writing my heart out, and grab my crochet hooks and play in some yarn. It wasn't long before I had started my own graphic design business and a design position, so my time was once again monopolized so I couldn't completely carry through with my choices. Only small projects could be completed between phone calls, edits, and meetings.
These earrings are one of those projects that I got to create while watching k-pop bands do their thing on the Winter Olympics closing ceremony. The gold base are a pair Forever 21 circle earrings. I cut strands of thick black cotton yarn to create tassels, then grabbed a bit of bleach and let it sit in there for 5-7 min. Of course, I had to even up the bottom of the tassel once it was all said and done
