This purple rendition is version II of this set. The original was an all cream colored, hand-crafted piece, rough in nature, but the most intricate pattern pursued by Naimah as a young a designer. This version has a bit better functionality, with elastic added to the band of both the skirt and the halter. Each fringe is hand cut and woven into the crocheted mesh underneath. It also has added zeal with the orange stripe connecting both the top and bottom, complimenting its main "grape" purple.
This design is a reminder of the roots of Naimah 1995, and the vision of bringing crocheted fabrics into fashion as a mainstream material, not just a trendy sub-genre. We continue that creative concept, not only using crochet alone, but also in combination with other materials, exploring all possibilities and testing the boundaries.
